Hi there, i have been using this product for about 2 weeks now and i would definitely suggest it to others to use. It smells great and really does hold your hair in style for the entire day IMO. It's very easy to use and it doesn't take much for it to work effectively. Just put a dab on your finger, rub into both of your hands, and rub it into your hair, it's that easy. I don't know how long this container will last but i plan on getting another one when it's empty. Two thumbs up from me.

My experience with Axe Refined Clean-Cut Look Poma

I certainly have not been disappointed by the Axe Clean Cut Look Pomade. Although I personally don’t use it on my hair (I’m an older women), my son uses it every day to style his hair and has filled me in on some details:

1) The first thing my son and I noticed was the pleasant, clean smell that goes along perfectly with the “clean cut look.” It is not overpowering or invasive, but definitely holds its aroma throughout the day.

2) The second thing we took note of was that this pomade, once used in the hair, holds the shape and hairstyle absolutely all day. Actually, we noticed it holds for as long as you want until you shower or go to bed (not even this stuff can prevent bed head).

3) Thirdly, we noticed that after my son showers, there is no sticky residue or anything left on his hair, even after using the Axe pomade for an extended period of time. Also, there haven’t been any repercussions from using it every day like dandruff, etc.

4) Lastly, I was unsure of how daily use would make the amount dwindle, but even after two weeks of daily use in styling his hair there is still quite a lot left. I’d say one 2.64 ounce container could last you a couple months of daily use, or even more if not used daily.

Overall, my son and I are extremely happy with this product and will definitely keep buying it for him!

Perfect "Clean Cut Look" Every Time!

I can say I am honestly in love with this product! I am a huge fan and would tell anyone to try Axe Refined Clean- Cut Look Pomade because it works and has a great strong hold! This Axe Refined Clean- Cut Look Pomade is the real deal! My client has unruly thick hair that resists most products and this Axe Pomade let me style his hair beautifully and easily. I am very pleased with the ease of use. The pomade itself is very light and airy (many pomades are heavy, thick, and greasy- but NOT this pomade!) and I rubbed it in between my fingers and applied to dampened hair and then styled it and blow dried it. It left my clients hair looking completely awesome! He loved it! It didn't leave his hair hard and crunchy, his hair was smooth but held strongly in place. The pomade has a delicately pleasant fruity smell, it is not over powering and is gender neutral which is a huge plus. The pomade looks really cool- it is shimmery blue (it goes on clear so no worries!). I do a lot of "alternative" style hair (think Mohawks and spikes) and this Axe Pomade product really helps me accomplish that look. Wonderful product definitely worth a try!

Great Product For Alternative Hair Styles!

This axe pomade has excellent hold. My husband usually uses a dimes worth and it is sufficient for holding up his speed up mo hawk. It lasts throughout the entire day. This isn't too harsh on the hair and doesn't feel like it is dying it out, but leaves the hair with a very dry look. It’s great that it doesn't clump at all. Washing it is extremely easy as well; you could probably do it without any shampoo.

Generally, my husband latters the putty in his hand and applies it on his hair to style to his liking. If it’s your first time using this product, the inside of the cap also has simple instructions of how to apply the putty.

One con is the thickness; it is a very hard putty. But because of that it has lasted very long, My husband has been using it for several weeks now. It is a little pricier than some putties but it is definitely worth it because it will probably last longer.

Excellent hold!

We were asked to try Axe Refined Clean Cut Look Pomade Gel . And i must say that we were pleasantly surprised at the outcome of the product. It was easy to use and lightweight and when it dried your hair did not feel as stiff as the other hair setting gels that i have used. I used it on a crew cut style haircut but i think that it would work on other styles as well. So i would highly recommend this product for anyone that needs a great working gel for a reasonable price. I think they may have named it Clean Cut because its so easy to use and doesn't give your hair that stiff glued up look.

The Axe Clean-Cut Look Pomade is a great alternative to high-end styling gel. The pomade has a nice pleasant smell – it does not have a strong alcohol or perfume-like scent into it. Inside the jar’s lid is a clear visual instruction on how to use and apply the pomade into your hair. The instruction shows to apply the pomade into your damp hair. However, I believe that doing the reverse order works best. Pomade compared to gel is a lot thicker in volume. I found that spreading the pomade first into the palm of your hand and rub with a small amount of water thins the consistency of the pomade. The pomade can now be easily applied to your dry or damp hair. The pomade is applied evenly into your hair and prevents uneven build-up in one area of your hair. The Axe Clean-Cut Look Pomade works best with short hair. It works best with short manageable hair – your hair can be styled to your preference without the use of hair spray. With thinly and evenly applied pomade, using a hair blower will perfectly style your hair into place. Styling gels dries out at the end of the day but with the Axe Clean-Cut Look Pomade, your hair will not dry out and you will always have that nice clean fresh look.

Great alternative to high-end styling gel

I received this pomade in exchange for my honest opinion and honestly my husband and I love this pomade . Like all axe products this smells great ! My husband is very picky with any kind of product for he's hair .This pomade does its job not only does it smell good but it actual stays on for a great while . It gives your hair a clean and polished look . It goes on your hair very smooth . It looks as if it has glitter but when it goes on it doesn't . It is a clear pomade ! My husband had a pomade that look good on he's hair but it had a Terrible smell , it smell like burn oil . I just love this pomade it smell so fresh . I recommend this to everyone , ladies want your husband looking and smelling good try this pomade you wont regret it !

I FIND THIS AXE REFINED CLEAN CUT LOOK POMADE TO BE NOTHING MORE THEN OKAY ITS JUST POLISHES THE HAIR,WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE YOU JUST CAME OUT OF THE SHOWER THAT YOU WASHED YOUR HAIR. THIS AXE PRODUCT DOES SMELL VERY GOOD THAT'S FOR SURE THE MINUTE YOU OPEN THE PRODUCT AND YOU TRY A LITTLE ON YOUR FINGERS TO SEE HOW IT SMELLS IT PASSES THE TEST OF A NICE CLEAN AROMA SMELL THAT'S FOR SURE. I DO RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT ITS NOT A BAD PRODUCT AT ALL. YOU CAN USE THIS PRODUCT TO POLISH YOUR HAIR OR EVEN AS A HAIR MOISTURIZER AS WELL TOO WHEN YOUR HAIR IS DRY. FOR THIS SIZE I FIND IT MY PERSONAL OPTION TO BE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE FOR THE 2.64 OZ SIZE. Ladies can use this product too! I'm a huge fan of vintage hairstyles. Particularly, the glamorous pin curl and roller sets from the 1940's and 50's. Of course, any gal that does an overnight pin curl or roller set knows brushing her curls out the next day can result in a great big poodle puff that defies taming with anything short of a blowtorch. It really is quite comical sitting there to brush my quirky curls into beautiful waves. Enter Axe Refined Clean-Cut Look Pomade to define those waves and smooth down any stray hairs. Slick back one side of your hair near the temple with a touch of pomade and secure with bobby pins, a hair comb, or even a lovely flower behind your ear for that authentic Old Hollywood look. This product works wonders on victory rolls and pompadours too leaving a nice natural feeling hold that lasts for hours. The gel is light, not sticky, with a soft sheen that almost glitters in direct sunlight. It smells amazing too! You only need a little dime-sized dab to get the job done. Application is really easy, all you need is a little dab between your fingertips. Illustrated instructions are included inside under the lid, in case you need them.

A Little Dab Will 'Do Ya!

November of 2014, I used this product on my 10 year old grandsons hair. the goal was a short spike on top of his head.
following the instructions underneath the lid of the pomade, I applied this STIFF GEL to wet hair with my "fingertip amount" that it said to do. but even with the wet hair, this gel didn't apply well with a minute amount. I had to triple the amount to be able to spread it over the area.
the negative part was, this gel was heavy feeling and thick on the hands,some may call this greasy, and it does resemble petroleum jelly, but this pomade isn't as heavy as the petroleum. when trying to use less, it doesn't was to spread and there needs to be more to be able to cover it all. maybe you can use that "fingertip amount" on just a cowlick or 1 prominent section of your hair, like in front of your forehead, to create a spot only.
the aroma is very light and wouldn't overpower any cologne you may be wearing.
anyway, while applying this gel, the more you worked with the gel and keep rubbing it into the hair into the position you want your hair to be in, the better it worked. the longer it was on the hair, the more manageable the hair became.
my grandson wore his hat over this on his way to school. but it mustve maintained some of the height because his peers had noticed it and comments were made how they liked his hair style. but by the time he came home from school, several hours later, after the application of the POMADE, his hair was slightly bent forward, but yet....still standing. I checked it out, and his hair looked and felt much thicker. that was VERY INTERESTING TO NOTE ! without removing any of this pomade, 24 hours later, even after sleeping, my grandsons hair was still in a semi standing position. also the pomade holds the hair down along the sides of the head where you push the hair back.
this gel will hold the hair in the place you set it, but be sure not to don any hats or caps on your hair until everything is totally dry.
personally I feel this product would be better off being used in spring and summer. use something lighter, like a mousse for fall and winter.
all in all, it was a successful experience using this axe pomade and we will continue using it. my grandson agrees as well.

AXE CLEAN CUT LOOK POMADE (hair gel)

I'm not a big fan of pomade , but I decided to test this. After applied, my hair was shining and I received many compliments about it.

The next day I woke up with a quite greasy hair. So for me it's just an pomade, like many others, that promise but don't do a good job.

Maybe if your hair is dirty and you need a quickly fix, can be good. But I don't recommend to use in a clean hair, unless you are the kind of person who wash your hair every day.
